The LITE Certification program was organized by a group of manufacturers to provide Designers, Architects and Consumers with a referral database of educated, trained, and professional lighting installers.

LITE will train, test, and maintain a database of qualified contractors. These contractors will be referred by LITE and its participating partners whenever a potential opportunity arises. Unique Lighting Systems will be referring contractors via their Specification and Design Support Program (SDSP) and will refer to the LITE website when recommending contractors to Specifies, Architects, Designers and others seeking professional lighting installers including homeowners.

In addition LITE and its manufacturing partners have instituted a series of standards for installations pertaining to outdoor low voltage lighting. These standards are explained in detail in the training and testing process.

The scope of the material included in The LITE Certification Testing is very comprehensive and is not intended for the novice to pass without proper preparation. We urge all involved to thoroughly prepare for all exams by utilizing the materials provided and recommended.
